On a warm Sunday afternoon, tons of families were out fishing for crawdads near Hirosawa Pond at the edge of the city.

Day 7

Raking, weeding, and pruning in the Zen garden in the morning. Watercoloring at noon. Swimming in the Katsura River in the afternoon. A wonderful Kyoto Saturday.

Day 6

The breathtaking scenery at Arashiyama. Hydrangea, giant bamboo forest, and tourists!

Day 5

Relaxation and painting at the Garden of the Mind with the sound of chanting monks drifting in over the walls.
